2007 Coteaux d'Aix en Provence, Domaine de Beaupre, is produced in South of France. Beaupre winery applies family traditions. Baron Emile Double created the vineyard and the chateau's cellar in 1890, a cellar which today houses oak stock vats allowing the conservation of the red wines. The chateau, built in 1739 was admitted to the beautiful Bastides Provencales in the 18th century. A fountain, decorated with four dolphins whose tails were broken during the revolution in 1789, adds to the charm of the place. Now, the fourth generation has passed the baton to the fifth - and after its first vintage year in 2005, the young oenologist Phanette Double was rated as the very best by la Revue de France! |
