Italia-Gourmet.com accepts all major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Other methods may be accepted on a per case basis under special circumstances and may be discussed with a Italia-gourmet representative by calling us at (1) 510-814-7318.

Is it safe to ship perishable products?
Italia Gourmet food usually does not ship perishable products. If so,all fresh and frozen products are carefully sealed packaged to ensure optimum quality. We use a fully insulated bag or styrofoam container, and we surround the products with ice packs to restrain temperature escalation during delivery. To further protect the products, we place the bag or container in a double-strength corrugated carton filled with foam peanuts. From May 1st to September 30th, we also require that all perishable products be shipped using next day delivery service.

What is Italia Gourmet Food guarantee?
Italia-Gourmet.com has made the promise to always offer and deliver excellent gourmet food products at great prices. Part of that promise includes your TOTAL SATISFACTION. Although we carefully inspect each product, and manage packaging there is a possibility of damage while in transit to your home. As a result, we guarantee your satisfaction by either sending you a new product or, if you wish, a refund for the item. Our pledge is to make sure you have enjoyed your experience with Italia-Gourmet.com. So, if it happens, within 15 days of delivery, that you are not completely satisfied with your order, we, at Gourmet-Italia.com, want to know and we will replace or refund.

How do I search for products?
If you are looking for a specific product, you may use our search engine located on the top of most of our pages and enter the name of the product. The search result will return all the possible matches for you to view. Simply type in the "Product Search" field the full name or the brand of the product.

Do I have to pay sales tax on my order?
A 7.5% sales tax applies to orders for products shipped to California ONLY.

How can I redeem my Gift Certificate?
You can redeem your Gift Certificate by entering its number at check-out. The Face Value of your Gift Certificate will then show as a credit on your order summary page prior to the finalization of your order.

Is my personal information safe?
When you choose to give Italia-Gourmet personal and sensitive information over the Internet, we protect such information both online and off-line. Italia-Gourmet offers the use of its own secure server, and industry-standard software to safeguard the confidentiality of your transmissions, such as firewalls and SSL technology.

Italia-Gourmet secure server is kept locked in a secure data center, and we secure server software encrypts all information you input before it is sent to Italia-Gourmet.com. Those are the same technologies that reputable web sites use to safeguard credit card and other personal information.

To further ensure the safety of all your personal information in online and off-line storage, Itaslia-Gourmet restricts the access to data to only managers with a need to know in the course of performing a specific assignment.

What is your returns policy?
Italia-Gourmet offers the highest quality products. If any portion of your order does not meet your expectations, we offer a 15-days return policy on all undiscounted products except alcoholic beverages, and perishable products. To expedite the refund process, and obtain return instructions, you should call our Customer Service Department at 1-510-814-7318, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 9 p.m. (PST). Upon return of the Product(s), Italia-Gourmet will issue a credit to your credit card in an amount equal to the value of the Product(s) plus applicable sales tax. Shipping and handling charges, and special services are not refundable unless Product(s) are damaged and/or defective.

In the case of return or exchange, please contac us for instructions on how to pack and where to ship your damaged product. Shipping costs are not refundable.

What are the restrictions to alcoholic beverage orders?
Cellar and wine products can only be shipped to 26 states in US at the present time. Both you and the recipient must be 21 or older to purchase and receive alcoholic beverages. You are required to provide, under penalty of perjury, your accurate date of birth during the registration process. In addition, Some States have some specific reglementation, which we apply.

Where do I enter the promotional code?
All special offers are subject to a promotional code entry. Just enter such code in the appropriate field during the checkout process and your credit or discount will show on your order summary prior to the finalization of your order. A credit cannot later be claimed for orders placed without a promotional code entry.

What is your policy if a product is not available?
Unexpected demands might deplete our stock of some products. In those instances, you may receive a partial shipment as we will not delay delivery of your order to wait for the missing inventory. Your order's total amount will be adjusted accordingly, and the charge to your credit card will reflect such adjustment. When the product(s) become(s) available, you will be notified by email. Should you, at that point, agree to receive the item(s), you will be charged for the product(s).

Should I place my order online or offline?
Both are great ways to order! Many of our customers choose to order online because of our secure shopping cart, 24 hour availability, extensive product descriptions, quick order confirmation, and online order tracking. Our online marketplace is securely encrypted to ensure the security of your personal information and we never store your credit card information on public servers to eliminate any possibility of loss.

Does Italia Gourmet Food have a retail storefront where I can shop?
Currently Italia-Gourmet provides low prices to our customers by not offering a store front. This is a decision that has been made to offer our customers the best value available on the internet. However, local customers of the Bay Area can order online and pickup order at our warehouse located at South Beach Cafe, 800 Embarcadero, San Francisco, CA 94107 and therefore avoiding the costs of shipping.

Can I request a new product not listed in your store?
We are always interested in expanding our product line to offer the best choices to our consumers. If you find that a product is not on our site, let us know about it and we will look into obtaining the product for you if possible. Email us at customer@Italia-Gourmet.com and we will ad this product to our inventory list.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?
It all depends on what day and time you enter your order, the products that you have ordered and the weather conditions. But, we try make sure that all products arrive within 5 business days of your order. 

Italia Gourmet Food strives to provide quick and efficient delivery to every consumer. That being said, we follow a same-day shipping cutoff of 2 PM Pacific Time policy. For example, an order made at 1:55 PM Pacific Time on Monday will be shipped on Monday, while an order made at 3:25 PM on the same day would be shipped the following business day, on Tuesday. This time may change based on high volume days or by product availability. Orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will be shipped out on the following business day i.e., on Monday.
